Knitting Pattern For Capelet

This knitted capelet is shaped to create a lovely fit around the neck and shoulders. Try a bright colour with a muted neutral as I have or any two colour combination that takes your fancy. It is worked from the bottom up. The slip stitch technique is very easy to work as you only ever use one colour per round. The patterning is made by slipping stitches as you go. The pattern includes full instructions.

The capelet measures approximately 34cm high (13.4 in). The circumference around the top is 53cm (21in) and around the bottom is 120cm (47in).

You will need

1 x 100g ball of Malabrigo Sock yarn in Light of Love (857), 402m/439 yds per 100g or any sock yarn
1 x 100g ball of Malabrigo Mechita yarn in Plomo (043), 385m/420yds per 100g or any sock yarn
1 x 3.5mm (US4) circular needle, 80cm (32in) long
1 x 3.5mm (US4) circular needle, 40cm (16in) long or one set of 3.5mm (US4) double pointed knitting needles
