Crochet Purse Pattern – Shell

This purse is worked as one rectangle. The flap is then worked into one end and the purse is joined at the side edges. It has a zip closure with a button and instructions are included for adding a lining. It is approximately 15cm (6in) wide and 9cm (3.5in) tall.
The pattern includes full written instructions as well as notes, a crochet chart and photo tutorials on how to work the shell crochet technique – a great way to learn this stylish style of crochet.

Level of difficulty: Confident beginner

You will need:

2.5mm crochet hook
3 x 10g balls in main colour (yarn A) and 1 x 10g ball in contrast colour (yarn B) of Scheepjes Catona
13 (or 15) cm zip
fabric to line the purse (optional)
button
tapestry needle
sewing needle & thread to add the lining (if used)

It can be used as a cash and card purse or a general knick-knacks purse
